A primary school in Bath is seeking a Teaching Assistant (ASD) to join their resource base, providing dedicated support to children with autism and related needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant (ASD):
- Provide tailored support to children with ASD, helping them develop communication, social, and emotional skills
- Work one-to-one and in small groups, delivering structured learning activities
- Assist with behaviour management and support students in their daily routines
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and SEN professionals to ensure a positive learning experience
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with autism or additional needs
- A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to support, education and training
- An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
