Manufacturing Technician

If you are an engineer or technician with experience of working on mechanical equipment and assemblies, then this could be the ideal role for you!
You will be providing technical support including mechanical assembly, defect investigation and product repair and will work closely with other teams and departments to improve product quality and reliability.
This role involves preparing, assembling, and testing a variety of mechanical components and systems, including hydraulic systems and safety-critical products.

Job Role


Generate assembly, disassembly, and function test documentation and working instructions.
Prepare and complete mechanical assembly or disassembly and testing of components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies for a wide range of products.
Conduct assembly operations to defined production standards.
Perform function tests or troubleshoot testing and proof tests of components used in high-pressure hydraulic systems.
Liaise with manufacturing teams to determine daily production requirements.
Ensure adherence to work instructions and meet all Quality requirements.
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and cleanliness in the work area.
Provide constructive feedback to improve products and processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in mechanical assembly and testing of components and systems.
Familiarity with hydro-pneumatic suspension systems and safety-critical products is highly desirable.
Experience in working on mechanical products and assemblies and experience in hydraulics would be beneficial.
Knowledge of testing mechanical assemblies
Able to use standard measuring equipment such as micrometres, verniers, etc.
Able to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Quality experience including defect and quality concerns such as 8D investigation methodologies.
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
