Reed Finance are working with an innovative Engineering company based in Bath recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to join them on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

This role will be a key addition to an established finance team within a friendly and inclusive organisation.

Role Overview: The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the financial and project accounting for the Advisory and Projects Units.

This role involves the production of end-to-end management accounts, accurate reporting of revenue and costs on projects, senior stakeholder communication, and managing junior team members to ensure all unit reporting is completed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the end-to-end production of management accounts and accurate reporting of project revenue and costs for the Advisory and Projects Units.
  • Production of budgets and quarterly forecasting.
  • Preparing monthly reporting packs and leading the consolidation of discipline results.
  • Reviewing and challenging project financial risks and opportunities within the project portfolio.
  • Managing several disciplines within the unit, providing direct monthly finance support.
  • Collaborating with the Project Operations Team.
  • Presenting financial analysis and KPIs at monthly leadership meetings to drive value, add advice, and support.
  • Preparing month-end reports showing consolidated positions for the senior leadership team.
  • Providing financial and commercial decision support for unit leaders.
  • Proactively seeking continuous improvement within all aspects of the role.
  • Ensuring adherence to local finance policies and procedures.
  • Conducting Project Partner and Project Director portfolio reviews.
  • Overseeing a small team.
