Reed Finance are working with a leading professional services organisation based in Bath recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to join them. You will play a vital role in the growth and development of the Finance Team and ultimately the wider business.

Helping support top level strategic decision making and both short and long term financial planning, through comprehensive financial analysis and reporting. You will lead the Finance Transformation Programme, with a key focus on driving efficiency and control across the function.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

• Play a key part in the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

• Help prepare statutory annual accounts in compliance with applicable accounting standards.

• Provide detailed financial analysis and commentary to support decision-making by senior stakeholders.

Financial Planning:

• Update and maintain comprehensive forecasting models to support financial planning and business strategy.

• Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to gather inputs and provide insights for forecasting and budgeting processes. • Deliver variance analysis and recommend actions to optimise financial outcomes.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Help prepare and submit accurate regulatory returns, ensuring compliance with relevant financial services regulations.

• Support the preparation and submission of company tax returns, including VAT, Corporation Tax, and PAYE, working with external advisors as needed.

Project Management:

• Lead the Finance Transformation Programme, with responsibilities including:

o Managing the implementation and upgrade of the General Ledger system.

o Overseeing the introduction of a new expense claims system.

o Driving the redesign of finance processes to improve efficiency and control.

• Support the CFO with defining project objectives, creating timelines, and manage cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful delivery.

• Act as a point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates on progress and resolving project challenges.

Support and Development:

• Provide help and guidance to the finance team, supporting ongoing development and performance improvement
