Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a South-West based Local Authority who are looking to identify a Finance Manager – Capital. The role offers flexible, remote working and is for an initial 3–6-month period.
Key responsibilities include;
- Leading on the creation, coordination, and development of annual capital budget, including the implementation of a sound and robust financing plan
- Attending budget holder meetings as required throughout the year
- Provide financial advice, challenge and support to Head of Service and budget managers to enable them to produce a regular, realistic budget monitoring forecast
- Responsible for budget monitoring and setting
- Building and maintaining key relationships with budget holders and service heads
- Reviewing grant claims and other external income, ensuring it is correctly applied, timely and sufficient to fund the scheme
The person;
- Qualified Accountant
- Local Government Finance experience is desirable
