Operations Planner

My client is seeking an Operations Planner to join their team, responsible for creating and maintaining their manufacturing schedule, ensuring on-time delivery and optimised work centre loading. The ideal candidate will be a key player in driving the business’ decision-making process through accurate data analysis and reporting.
Day to Day of the role:- Monitor and maintain planning/scheduling systems, executing ERP data flow processes to maintain data integrity.
- Manage workflow, issuing job orders and associated paperwork daily to initiate manufacturing.
- Validate shop floor data capture, ensuring plans are based on the actual status of work and available capacity.
- Conduct capacity planning for all manufacturing work centres, balancing actual and modelled capacity against planned work.
- Provide accurate and timely data to management and stakeholders, including visual display of key metrics and monthly management reports.
- Create forward-load demand models and analyses based on current and potential order scenarios.
- Actively support continuous improvement activities and undertake additional duties as required by the company.
- Strong team-working and leadership experience, with the ability to maintain pace of work as priorities change.
- Experience in production scheduling and material planning using APS/ERP tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong multi-tasking abilities.
- Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance.
- Desirable: Expert user status in Syteline ERP, knowledge of technology development, new product introduction, and series production.
