Job Summary:

As a Health Carer at Staff Giant, you will be responsible for providing essential care and support to individuals in a care home setting. You will assist with daily living activities, ensuring that the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents are met with dignity and respect. Your role will be vital in enhancing the quality of life for those you care for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Support individuals with mobility, feeding, and hydration.
  • Monitor and report changes in the health and well-being of residents.
  • Encourage and assist residents in maintaining independence and participating in activities.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, their families, and the care team.
  • Ensure the safe administration of medication, following care plans and protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Complete accurate documentation and daily reports.
  • Uphold the principles of dignity, privacy, and respect in all interactions.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or care home setting is preferred.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (desirable).
  • Caring, compassionate, and empathetic nature.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS checks.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to cover various shifts (days, nights, weekends).
