Personal Care Assistant
Professional, Personal Care Assistant Required, in Bath
I am a middle-aged lady, who uses an electric wheelchair living in the Combe Down area of Bath, I was recentlydescribed as a relaxed person, I like to work with assistants who like to chat, but also like it when I am left to get on with things. Due to the deterioratingnature of my impairment, my support needs are increasing so I have good days and bad (my pain increases and I am a bit wobbly...). I need PAs who are able to use their initiative, whilst allowing me my independence. Before covid I was doing a PHD at the University of Bath, now I just want to complete drafting what was going to be my thesis. A new PA will be joining a small team of carers who work one to one with myself. Drivers would be welcome but not essential; I would like to go out and about. I attend hydro fortnightly at the RUH. I love gardening, theatre, and other arts events; I live with a small dog who responds to my respiratory levels and will make sure PAs give me my meds when needed. I consider her as my family even though she works as a health assistance dog!
