BMR Solutions are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter / Service Engineer to work for our client who are an engineering / manufacturing company in Bristol.

Mechanical Fitter / Service Engineer Permanent

35,000-45,000 experience dependent

Key Skills: Mechanical Fitter / Service Engineer / Workshop Assembly / Mechanical Build / Mechanical Test

Responsibilities:

Assemble parts to the required specification
Working to engineering drawings to build mechanical assemblies & sub-assemblies
Installation of component parts
Mechanical Build and fitting
Pneumatic installation
Product test pre completion
Working in a team of mechanical fitters to meet build targets
Machine maintenance
Reactive and planned maintenance (service of customer equipment on site)

Knowledge and Skills:

Mechanical engineering skills (e.g. apprenticeship, qualification or relevant experience)
Able to read engineering drawings and understand Bill of Materials
Ability to understand mechanical design assembly
Previous mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience of assembling fabricated parts to engineering drawings
Good dexterity with the ability to handle a variety of parts including sheet metal, machined and electrical components
Good verbal and written communication skills
Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Understanding of Lean manufacturing

Pay: 35,000 - 45,000 per year + overtime (depending on experience)

Must have valid driving licence. Some travel may be required.
