About the Role:

BDM Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading mortgage and protection broker firm seeking an experienced and motivated Mortgage Administrator to join their team. This home-based position offers flexibility while supporting a high-performing team of mortgage and protection advisors.

You will play a vital role in the mortgage and protection application process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and top-tier customer service. Monthly attendance at the Bath office for team meetings is required (at your own expense).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mortgage & Protection Administration: Manage mortgage and protection applications from start to finish, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Liaison with Lenders & Advisors: Work closely with mortgage lenders, insurers, and in-house advisors to ensure a smooth and swift application process.
  • Client Relationship Management: Provide regular updates to clients and handle non-advice-based inquiries to maintain excellent customer service.
  • Data Management: Use in-house systems to track application statuses, input data, and ensure payments are processed promptly.
  • Proactive Coordination: Collaborate with all parties, including estate agents and solicitors, to expedite property purchases, remortgages, and protection policies.
  • Process Improvements: Identify and implement administrative efficiencies to support advisors and enhance the client journey.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Mortgage Administration Expertise: A solid understanding of mortgage and protection application processes is essential.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with associated services, such as conveyancing, estate agency operations, and property purchasing processes, is highly beneficial.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to plan, self-organize, and effectively analyze client needs.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication with a professional and personable style.
  • Technical Proficiency: Competent in using CRM systems, databases, and general computer applications.
  • Team Player: Able to work collaboratively and independently, delivering results with confidence and professionalism.
