Pensions Administrator - Bath - Utilities - Excellent benefits

Are you are an effective communicator? Are you highly organised and adaptable? If so, we have a great opportunity for you to join our Pensions team as a Pension Administrator.

What you'll do

You'll provide an efficient pensions and benefits administration service to the company and scheme trustees, ensuring that key service level agreements are met. The role also provides general advice and information to colleagues and members, demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge of pension matters and how they are interpreted within the various schemes operated by the company.

As part of the role, you'll be required to:

  • calculate a wide range of retirement, leaver and transfer calculations
  • manage the overall workload to ensure the service standards are maintained
  • reconcile weekly and monthly pension scheme movement with the scheme's bank accounts, updating the accounting system and ensuring an effective cashflow system is maintained
  • process and pay monthly contributions to the various providers
  • administer employee benefits and assist with renewal policies/contracts covering private healthcare provision and various other employee benefit-related schemes.

What you'll need

You will be customer-focused person who is able to work using your own initiative. You'll have a flexible approach to workload and demonstrate excellent communication skills across all levels of the business.

In addition, you will need:

  • technical knowledge and practical experience of defined benefit and defined contribution pension scheme legislation/administration (minimum 1 years experience preferred)
  • effective judgment, to interpret complex information into clear, concise summaries appropriate for the target audience
  • an adaptable, analytical and logical way of thinking, high level of common sense and personal integrity, ability to plan and organise well, multi-task and deliver to specific timescales
  • a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to work calmly under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
