Are you a recently qualified Solicitor with a passion for construction law? Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, is looking for a Construction Solicitor to join their talented and friendly team based in Bath. Responsibilities:

  • Provide sound and timely legal and commercial advice to mitigate risks on global projects.
  • Review, report on, negotiate, and finalise a variety of contractual documentation, (including but not limited to consultancy appointments and sub-consultancy agreements, collateral warranties, novation agreements, letters of intent).
  • Advise on adherence to governance policies during contract negotiations.
  • Assist in the operation and administration of contracts and legal frameworks.
  • Deliver training to promote awareness of legal and commercial issues within the industry.
  • Enhance the efficiency of the Commercial and Legal team through the development of systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with Project Directors and Partners to support contractual negotiations and project delivery.

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Legally qualified with 0-4 years post-qualification experience.
  • Strong background in construction law and the construction industry.
  • Experience in drafting and reviewing contracts.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Commercial mindset with keen attention to detail.

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Demonstrable experience in general commercial law.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
