Excellent opportunity for an In House Costs Draftsperson, who has extensive experience in drafting Legal Aid bills to join a top 100 UK law firm in Bath.
This role is based in the firms Family team.
The right candidate must have experience of CCMS drafting and submission of bills, have a Legal Aid background with at least 2-5 years' experience.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and submitting Legal Aid payments on accounts
- Processing High Cost Case Plans - drafting VHCCP
- Processing claims prepared by external cost drafts firm
- Complete final bills to Legal Aid Agency, claims assessed by Legal Aid Agency and Court
- To liase & advise with fee earners/support staff in relation to a variety of legal costs matters
- General administration of documents, including: photocopying, archiving, data entry and filing
- Preparing bills, costing files, and preparing claims for detailed assessment
- Work closely with other members of the team to ensure work is completed effectively and efficiently
- Ensure that all working processes and practices comply with relevant quality and service standards
The firm is offering a salary of £23,000 - £29,000 coupled with excellent benefits.
