Are you looking for a varied and fulfilling role in the legal field?Do you have strong organisation and communications skills?We are excited to be looking for a Legal Assistant to join an independent and long-standing firm in central Bath.In this role, you will assist with managing lasting powers of attorney, handling Court of Protection deputyship applications, and supporting clients with their finances and benefits.

This could be the perfect fit if you’re ready for a meaningful role that combines administrative expertise with client support!DAY TO DAY:

  • Prepare and register lasting powers of attorney (LPAs).
  • Submit deputyship applications and complete annual deputy reports for the Court of Protection.
  • Monitor client finances, ensuring LPAs and deputyships are registered with banks.
  • Reconcile client bank accounts monthly.
  • Liaise with social services, care providers, and other organisations to meet client needs.
  • Ensure clients receive all benefits they’re entitled to.
  • Record time entries, raise, send, and process client bills.
  • Visit clients as necessary to provide support.
