Quick Staff UK is pleased to be recruiting for an established market-leading organisation based in the Bath area. On their behalf, we are seeking to recruit a Production Manager to join their team in a permanent role. The Production Manager is responsible for the day to day Management of our client's Purchasing team. The role is a key on site stakeholder and part of the core senior leadership team overseeing a business centric department. Responsible for delivering bespoke projects, range launches and everyday business into Production with our client's Far East and UK partners, to meet required launch dates and maintain ongoing high levels of availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Through excellent computer and analytical skills deliver accurate demand forecasting to ensure the whole company product portfolio and ensure the company’s OTIFNE (on time in full no errors) SLAs are attained. • Forecasting and actively monitor and manage data to improve stock availability, reduce overstocks, maximise buying opportunities, create buying synergies, improve the commercials and promoting lead lines with suggested NPD and range development.• You will understand the requirements (lead times/ capabilities/ sampling/ pre-production processes / shipping) of our suppliers and products. • Lead the Production team and work collaboratively where there are issues in supply or demand to find creative solutions and ensure the customer is well serviced. Delegating task and monitoring performance across the department. • Monitor rates of sale to make informed decisions. Working with wider departments to ensure critical path of new product is adhered to, collating all product specification details in preparation of raising purchase orders. • Engaging with senior managers on the annual launch calendar to ensure projects and products are delivered within specification, time and budget requirements. • Understanding the full product range to give accurate insight into the numbers you are presenting, comprehend the nuances and differentials in the product and can advise and schedule appropriately. A knowledge of shipping factors, container fill, schedules and any group initiatives to ensure forecasting takes all these factors in account when setting out requirements. • Be a key exponent of process and process adherence and make sure that there is compliance and continuous improvement throughout.

Key Requirements:

• Great commercial instincts and ability to make good informed and timely decisions. Adept at problem solving • Experience of reviewing demand planning information and setting purchasing strategy resulting.• Proven ability in managing product to critical path and to budget• Able to demonstrate excellent communication, with effective team management skills.• Confident in purchasing from UK and Far East.• Organised and able to prioritise and multi task• Very high attention to detail and proven track record of delivering commercial insight• Comfortable with P&L and budgets• Highly numerate and analytical with advanced Excel and Microsoft skills with ability to learn new systems.• Inherent understanding of product, its function and the ability to deconstruct, commercialise it and develop it• Ability to work and multi task in a fast paced environment and deliver strong results• Educated to A-Level or equivalent as a minimum • Full driving license
