Company Overview:Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Fluorescent Penetrant Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Inspector to join their Final Inspection Department. This critical role ensures the delivery of high-quality, precision-engineered parts that meet stringent customer and internal specifications.
Role Summary:As a member of the Final Inspection Department, the successful candidate will serve as both a Non-Destructive Inspector and a Final Inspector. The role is pivotal in maintaining the highest standards of product quality, ensuring final acceptance for 100% of finished parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform visual inspections of parts processed through the fluorescent penetrant line, working under UV lighting in controlled conditions (comprehensive training and certification provided).
- Conduct dimensional checks on precision-engineered parts.
- Maintain thorough documentation and quality records.
- Report any quality issues to the Chargehand or Chief Inspector.
- Uphold cleanliness and high standards of housekeeping in the workspace.
- Perform manual dressing of parts to address imperfections deemed reworkable.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across all activities.
Skills and Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify imperfections.
- Capability to read and interpret component drawings.
- Experience using inspection tools (e.g., micrometers, verniers, and gauges) with appropriate training.
- Self-motivation, ability to work independently, and commitment to teamwork.
- Willingness to undertake training courses and examinations.
- Ability to handle delicate precision-engineered parts meticulously.
- Must not be colorblind and must meet annual eyesight test requirements (optical aids permitted).
