Buyer

A well-established and rapidly growing organisation is seeking a permanent Buyer to join their team in Bath, offering a salary of up to £34,000.

In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing components, negotiating prices with preferred suppliers, and managing purchase orders for multiple vendors.

This position is ideal for individuals with experience in procurement, particularly those who have sourced finished goods or components at the junior buyer or buyer level and are eager to advance their careers.

Role responsibilities of the Buyer include:

• Work with suppliers in the Far East and Europe to discuss printing costs and schedules.
• Team up with Sales to meet customer packing and scheduling needs.
• Help the Head of Procurement improve processes and keep accurate data for all important documents.
• Update the database with expected costs and schedules, making sure all procurement information is complete.
• Keep track of new and reprint titles every month, managing costs and purchase orders.
• Work with Sales to better understand what customers need, especially regarding schedules and packing details.
• Coordinate with the Production Control team on upcoming orders and share key updates.

Person Specification of the Buyer:

• Demonstrated experience in purchasing or procurement, specifically in sourcing finished goods and/or components.
• Skilled in engaging with individuals at all organisational levels with professionalism and confidence.
• Proven track record of establishing and nurturing relationships with suppliers in the Far East.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with particular expertise in Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
• Ambitious and motivated professional with a strong desire for career advancement.

Up to £34k
