- This includes managing low-level, below-threshold procurements for a wide range of goods and services for the organisation.
- You will develop and implement procurement strategies, manage relationships with stakeholders, and oversee procurement and tendering processes to achieve cost savings and mitigate risks.
- You will maintain thorough documentation and audit trails for procurement projects, manage contract negotiations and renewals, and provide technical advice and training to team members.
- You will support budget managers in obtaining the best value for money and implementing fraud prevention measures.
- You will liaise with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and continuous improvement.
- You will be responsible for establishing and enhancing the approach to cost savings across all operations, ensuring efficient budget management and compliance with public regulations.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience of managing low-level, below-threshold procurements, with knowledge of procurement best practices
- Ability to oversee procurement and tendering processes across a variety of indirect categories
- Strong budget management skills.
- Understanding of public procurement regulations (PA23)
- Experience in cost-saving initiatives and value for money (VfM) practices.
- Ability to manage contract negotiations and renewals.
- Experience in maintaining documentation and audit trails for procurement projects.
- Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent documentation and record-keeping abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
