Quick Staff UK is pleased to be the recruitment partner of a leading manufacturing organisation based in the Bath area. On their behalf, we are seeking to recruit a Purchasing Coordinator to join their team in a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Through liaison with the purchasing and production managers assist in the forecasting of requirement and ensure the on time supply of all greetings cards and any associated components.• For both ongoing reprints and new launches this requires liaising with all internal stakeholders to ensure the critical path is maintained, the best supplier at best price is mandated, on time shipping is achieved and all information and specifications are in full and correct first time.• Work with the team to understand supplier capabilities and capacities and also customer requirements and look to add value when helping to decide where orders are to be placed.• Manage the order process from beginning to end ensuring accuracy and clarity of paperwork at all times, including volumes, price and any special instructions.• Work with the wider team and the group to maximise all shipping efficiencies, including Container fill and schedule.• Input product cost estimates and all aspects and attributes of the product to ensure the company computer system reflects the correct specifications. Where possible look for savings and efficiencies to reduce cost and/ or increase quality. Proactively suggest improvements.• Ensure that the product is purchased and supplied to budget.• In addition be responsible for the stock levels of all components as requested.• Work with stakeholders to review forecasts and requirement and ensuring adequate supply at the correct price at all times. Negotiate price and supply where appropriate to the best result of the company.• Identify effective solutions when problems occur.• Co-ordinate the production of sales brochures and samples and ensure everything is on time and to budget• Assist in the general running of the production department and be a 'product expert’ for the wider senior sales community.• Run and analyse monthly reports in relation to KPI measures on availability and shipping performance, proposing actions to improve where needed. Provide timely data and insight when requested.

  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver strong results.

Hours of work:9.30am - 5.00pm
