An exciting new Deputy Manager vacancy has become available at a highly regarded and successful care home in the Bath area. This is an exciting opportunity to join a beautiful care home working under the direction of a highly skilled and passionate home manager.

We are seeking a deputy manager with a motivational leadership style and keen eye for detail. The role will be a mix of supernumerary management responsibilities coupled with shift work on the floor.

Responsibilities include:

  • Co-ordinate the resident assessment process, ensuring resident involvement throughout
  • Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day operations
  • Undertake staff supervisions
  • Conduct and oversee effective handover between shifts
  • Support on and where required lead on recruitment, retention, supervision and development of the staff team

Requirements:

  • You will have a proven track record as a Deputy Manager within an elderly care home setting
  • Comprehensive understanding of COSHH, CQC and other relevant legislation for the provision of care for older people
  • Experience of and knowledge of current best practice within dementia care is highly desirable

Salary:

  • 22 - 25/per hour | 40hrs per week (up to 52,000pa)
  • Some weekend working is required
