Reed is representing a client in the charity sector seeking a Retail Shop Manager to oversee one of their shops in Bath. This role is ideal for someone who is looking for a position with a sense of job satisfaction, excellent career prospects, and a competitive benefits package.

• Oversee the shop’s operations, ensuring effective management of volunteers, paid staff, premises, and stock.
• Drive sales to meet or exceed performance targets while upholding security and health and safety standards.
• Serve as the main key holder for the shop, responsible for opening, closing, and responding to emergency call-outs.
• Actively recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support the store’s efficient operation and promote the charity’s mission.
• Adhere to all administrative and financial procedures, including cash handling, banking, weekly reporting, and volunteer record maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation to safeguard yourself and others.

• Must possess a valid UK driving licence and have access to a personal vehicle.
• Proven experience in general management, with a preference for retail background.
• A customer-focused approach to work, with an emphasis on responsiveness and adaptability.
• Understanding of Health & Safety and Fire Regulations.
• Retail experience is a must.
