Long-term Teachers are working closely with a brilliant Special school in the Bath area. The school look after students with a range of special needs but are primarily focused around students with Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH) & ASD.

The school are a well established school that are going through exciting changes and they are looking for a teacher to lead a class of Year 5 students. Having placed another teacher at the school this term I can confidently say how supportive they are as a team, they're a team that really want you to succeed!

The Role

As mentioned this role will be leading a year 5 class where you will be ably supported by 2 TA's. This role has full teaching responsibilities so you will be expected to plan and mark your own lessons with adequate time provided for PPA (no students are in on Friday afternoons).

Due to the needs of the students it is essential you have worked with SEMH or ASD students before as they will require someone who is confident in dealing with challenging behaviour. They are open to a range of applications, so whether you're an ECT, experienced mainstream teacher or simply a SEN teacher looking for a change - then please apply now!

You will be expected to:

  • Have confidence in leading your TA's and help develop their skillsets
