Red Recruitment is recruiting an Assurance Expert who wants to broaden and develop their skills in a new assurance team whilst supporting a growing not-for-profit insurance business.

Our client is a private healthcare provider with over 100 years of putting their customers first. With business growing, they are looking to expand and enhance their internal audit, risk and compliance capabilities with a dedicated team.

The salary for this position is 43,000 - 48,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities of an Assurance Expert:

  • Planning and executing audits in line with the assurance plan
  • Supporting wider risk and compliance assurance processes
  • Monitoring business progress against identified audit issues
  • Providing business support to maintain effective internal controls and supporting in risk and capital analysis and reporting
  • Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit

Key Skills and Experience of an Assurance Expert:

  • You should be a qualified member of a professional accounting or auditing body with a minimum of 3 years of audit experience
  • If you do not hold the Certified Internal Auditor accreditation with the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors, you will be supported to achieve this
  • You should be able to understand and evaluate business risks, preferably with experience of regulated financial services firms
  • You should be a team player with an organised and clear approach
  • A friendly and professional manner is required
