We are thrilled to be partnering with a dynamic and growing SME near Batley to recruit for a key No. 2 finance position, reporting directly to the CFO. The business is a family-owned SME manufacturer, with a proud heritage and a deep passion for British manufacturing. They are approximately £20 million and employ over 100 dedicated staff but have ambitions of doubling their turnover in the next 3-5 years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a member of the senior leadership team, contributing to strategic decision-making.
- Oversee the daily operations of the finance team, including a Management Accountant, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Prepare key financial documents, including financial statements, profit & loss reports, and balance sheets.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Perform variance analysis and monitor cash flow.
- Ensure compliance and manage financial risk.
- Enhance financial controls and streamline processes.
- Provide support for ad-hoc projects as needed.
Ideally will be able to demonstrate the below experience;
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Track record of successfully leading and developing small finance teams.
- Familiarity with various ERP systems.
- Proficient in advanced Excel.
