Role: Quality Engineer

I'm seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join anexpanding quality team. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between our quality inspectors and the quality manager, ensuring productsmeet the highest standards before reachingcustomers. The Quality Engineer will be involved in both quality systems and hands-on quality control, providing crucial support to the quality manager and serving as the final sign-off point for vehicle readiness.

Key Responsibilities as a Quality Engineer

  • Quality Assurance: Oversee and ensure the Qualitythrough helping oversee inspection and testing. Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
  • Quality Systems: Assist the Quality Manager with Quality Management System (QMS) activities, including maintaining and updating quality documentation and procedures in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other relevant standards.
  • Customer Liaison: Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding quality issues, addressing any concerns and ensuring that customer expectations are met.
  • Technical Support: Provide support and guidance to the quality inspectors and other team members. Help troubleshoot and resolve quality-related issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and other quality-related activities. Prepare reports and documentation as required.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in quality processes and systems. Propose and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications needed as a Quality Engineer

  • Experience: Previous experience in a quality engineering role or a similar position. Familiarity with quality standards and systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001) is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of quality control and quality assurance principles.
    • Experience with quality management systems and documentation.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Dealing with NCRs

Key Attributes:

  • Ability to balance both proactive and reactive tasks effectively.
  • Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities.
  • High level of organisational skills and attention to detail.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time position, 39 hours per week.
  • Four and a half days per week with a half-day off on Friday.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • 25 days of holiday per year plus statutory holidays.
