The position is for a Class 2 night driver in Birstall with a salary of £16.50 per hour, including paid breaks.
This is a Temp to Perm role, where the driver will operate Class 2 refrigerated vehicles and deliver products to stores in the North East, York, and Leeds regions.
Candidates must have a valid Class 2 UK license for at least 12 months and recent experience driving a Class 2 vehicle within the last six months.
The job requires tech-savviness for using handheld terminals and adherence to vehicle maintenance and safety standards.
The working hours are from 16:00 to 18:00, following a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

Recruit A Driver are recruiting for a Temp to Perm, Class 2 night driver to drive for our Birstall based client.

About the role

As a Recruit A Driver HGV Driver for our client, you will expect:

To drive Class 2 refrigerated vehicles
To carry out the safe unloading of vehicles at customer premises
To deliver leading coffee chain store products across either the North East and or York and Leeds region. The products will be packed into cages and delivered into stores.
To be tech savvy, using handheld terminals when making the deliveries.
To ensure that the delivery vehicles are always maintained to Company standards, of reporting of any defects to the vehicle.
Ensures vehicles are in safe condition, with daily checks correctly completed before use, & are operated in a safe manner.

What you need to know:

Working times: 16.00pm - 18.00pm start times
Shift pattern: Working on a 4 on 4 off rota

What you must have:

Must hold a valid Class 2 UK license for a minimum of 12 months.
Must have experience driving a Class 2 vehiclewithin the last six months, ideally 12 months.
Must have no more than 6 points on license for minoroffences.
Must hold an in date Digital Tachograph Card.
Must have an up-to-date CPC Qualification Card.
