We are recruiting on behalf of our client in the Leeds area for a Transfer Station Operative (manual labour).
What will you be doing?
- Undertake all tasks in accordance with Veolia Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and Veolia Management System.
- Operate the necessary plant equipment involved in the handling, sorting and transferring of waste.
- Inspect incoming loads to ensure they comply with the relevant paperwork and site permit.
- Ensuring the yard area is kept clean and tidy.
- Marshalling vehicle movement around the site at busy times.
- Assisting the site supervisor in day to day running of site operations.
What are we looking for?
- 1 or more licences to include: Loading Shovel and/or 360 Grab (full training can be given but at least one of these licences is `preferred)
- Waste and shredder experience is desirable.
- Good communication skills.
- Be able to work as part of a team.
