Your new companyAt Hays, we are working exclusively with a growing Multi-Academy Trust which comprises six schools. They are looking for a Finance Manager to join their central finance team as they embark on their journey to expansion/growth. With the trust being on a growth trajectory, there is potential for this role to progress and move forward. They are a Trust with a great ethos who are dedicated to providing high-quality education and fostering a supportive community for our students and staff. You will be key to their growth and significantly contribute to the financial health and success of the trust.In this role, your key areas of focus will be:

  • Assisting the CFO with managing the Trust's finances, including ledger administration, transaction posting, and month-end procedures.
  • Communicate with internal and external auditors for audits and financial returns.
  • Handle month-end financial accounting, including account reconciliations and fixed asset ledgers.
  • Enhance data and finance systems to meet business needs.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and reports for the Board of Trustees.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Assist with the annual statutory accounts exercise and audit support, as well as preparing and compiling the annual budgets for schools/budget holders.
  • Liaise with finance platform providers on service and training issues.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be ACCA or CIMA qualified with proven experience in financial management. You will be someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can work collaboratively to build effective relationships. Your experience must display strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills with knowledge of financial systems and software.In return, they offer:
