Working with a small and friendly very busy office your duties as a Accounts Assistant will include:

  • End to End Payroll, collating weekly timesheets & dealing with any discrepancies
  • Running weekly payroll for 12 employees and monthly payroll for 15 employees
  • Sales and Purchase Ledger (some export suppliers)
  • Credit Control matching payments to invoices, allocating & processing (not chasing outstanding payments)
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Year-end tax returns
  • Monthly reporting on budget for ongoing job costings
  • Overseeing office overheads, including utilities and facilities
  • Providing monthly report for Directors
  • Attending monthly management meeting

You will have:

  • Previous accounting experience using SAGE
  • End to end payroll
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sales and Purchase Ledger
  • Excellent communication and Excel skills
  • The ability to prioritise a very busy workload

In addition, you will be a friendly, confident, flexible and adaptable team player able to work well under pressure and is happy to help other departments when required.

Hours of work are 09:00 until 17:00 with 1 hour for lunch, Monday to Friday.
