Veritas Education is excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant at a dynamic Secondary School in Batley. The role will primarily involve supporting students with diverse learning needs within the onsite provision. You will play a vital role in enhancing students' educational experience, promoting inclusion, and fostering a positive and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to students within the onsite provision.
  • Assist in the delivery of tailored educational programs and activities to support students' learning.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to adapt lessons and resources to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.
  • Foster an inclusive, encouraging, and safe learning environment for all students.
  • Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and assessment of students' progress.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents to promote the development of students' learning.

Person Specification:

  • Experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting.
  • A passion for supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and helping them reach their full potential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting students.
  • A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) would be an advantage.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
