Secondary Teaching Assistant (Level 3)

Veritas Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Secondary Teaching Assistant to join one of our partnering secondary schools in Batley. This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students while supporting their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a variety of subjects.
• Provide one-on-one support for students with additional needs, including those with SEN.
• Help manage classroom behaviour, encouraging a positive learning environment.
• Support the development of students' social and emotional skills.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to enhance students' progress.
• Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
• Accompany students on school trips and other out-of-classroom activities.

Requirements:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in a secondary school setting is desirable.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• A genuine interest in supporting the academic and personal development of young people.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
