The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in keeping production running smoothly, working on paint filling machinery and other essential equipment. You will work shifts on a weekly rotation:
- Week 1: Monday - Friday, 6 AM - 2 PM
- Week 2: Monday - Friday, 2 PM - 10 PM
About You (Essential Requirements)
- Time-served in a mechanical or electrical discipline
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar maintenance role within manufacturing
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding and repair skills
- A proactive problem-solver with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Must be able to commute to Birstall daily
Nice to Haves (Desirable Skills & Experience)
- Experience in Preventative Maintenance procedures
- Knowledge of PLC/computer-controlled equipment
- Knowledge and experience of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Confined space trained and certified (Training provided)
- IPAF/FLT trained and certified (Training provided)
- Experience with mechanical fitting, plumbing, pipe work, and welding
- Strong communication skills at all levels
- Comprehensive knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
- Conscientious, reliable, and proactive attitude
- Good numerical and verbal reasoning skills
