Taylor Stevenson are happy to announce we're now working with a Industry leading HGV & Commercial Vehicle Maintenance and Repair company based in the Leeds area who are well established sporting a track record of success that spanning near 20 years!

Due to the growth and expansion they're seeing year on year, they're needing a skilled HGV Technician to join them at their HQ!

This is a full time role paying between18 - 20 per hour DOEwith overtime paid at 1.5x immediately among other attractive perks!

This is a 40 hour per week position with the option of either working on alternating shift of 6AM - 2PM then 2PM - 10PM on a weekly rotation OR fixed 2PM - 10PM!

The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and have experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy goods vehicles. This role is crucial in ensuring that our fleet operates safely and efficiently, providing excellent service to our customers.

Job Duties include:

  • Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics on HGVs to identify faults and issues.
  • Perform repairs on various components including electrical systems, engines, and transmissions.
  • Utilise schematics to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems effectively.
  • Servicing of the trucks, trailers and commercial vehicles to industry standards.
  • MOT preparation
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years as an HGV Technician or similar role.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair complex issues.
  • Relevant industry qualifications e.g City & Guilds/NVQ's
  • Familiarity with electrical systems in heavy vehicles is essential.
  • Experience using power tools, forklifts, and other relevant equipment safely.
