Location: Chepstow, NP16 6UP
Shift times: Monday to Friday 06:00 until 16:30
Pay Rate: 15.12 per hour

If you are an individual who has a minimum of 6 months HGV experience looking for more of a work life balance, then we may have the perfect opportunity for you! Join our team as a Class 2 Driver where you will join our national client at their site in Chepstow.

This is an ongoing position where our client is looking at taking those who get on well on permanently!

What you will do:

• White goods deliveries, accompanied by a driver's mate.
• Home deliveries - transport items to the customer's room of choice, including carrying items to homes that may be several stories high.
• Kerbside deliveries - hand off items directly to individuals on building sites.
• Handle multidrop deliveries, with the number of stops varying daily.
• Use a handheld scanner and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Communicate with customers on a face-to-face basis.
• Safely operate the delivery vehicle, adhering to business standards and protocols.
• Conduct thorough vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with VOSA regulations.

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills and a positive demeanour are required for direct interaction with customers.
• HGV 2 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
• No more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
• Minimum 6 months Class 2 experience
• A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.
• Multidrop delivery experience.
• Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.
• A can-do attitude.
