CAD Engineer, mechanical engineering design, at a small friendly engineering manufacturing business with unique products. As mechanical CAD Engineer you work in a team, playing your part with mechanical CAD design drawings, and talking through ideas and drawings with colleagues in engineering and manufacturing. Products include CNC machined components, sheetmetal fabrications and small to medium mechanical designs like assemblies and fittings. This is a CAD Engineer role, focused on mechanical aspects of the mechanical engineering design.

Capturing mechanical designs into CAD and updating drawings.
Working on low volume projects, so the job is often fresh and never gets too repetitive.
Be part of a team working on different products, with well managed weekly project review meetings.
The sort of background that we are looking for:
Team player, supporting the wider design process as part of a team.
Experience as a mechanical CAD technician, CAD Engineer or mechanical design engineer.
HND, or Time Served Engineer, BTEC Level 4, HNC, or possibly a CAD/Engineering degree and the ability to use CAD software to understand and create drawings in the workplace.
Experience of using 3D CAD in the workplace.
