Next Chapter Talent have partnered with a luxury build and design company who are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial accounting and reporting activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, managing tax processes, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decision-making. Reporting directly into the Managing Director, the Financial Controller will collaborate with various departments to maintain financial integrity and drive operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage financial statements, reports, and forecasts in compliance with local and international accounting standards.
- Perform regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
- Advise on tax planning, tax compliance, and the optimization of tax liabilities for the organization.
- Oversee financial reporting to regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of financial documents and tax returns.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare budget reports for management review.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business strategy and decision-making.
- Conduct internal reviews and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Coordinate with external auditors and assist in the annual audit process.
- Assist with the preparation of business plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, local laws, and industry regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) certification from a recognized professional body.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial accounting, auditing, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS, GAAP, etc.), taxation, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Xero).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- High ethical standards and integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably with exposure to accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, and reconciliation.
- Knowledge of advanced Excel functions, data analysis tools, and financial modelling.
- Additional certifications or courses in tax, auditing, or financial management are a plus.

- Competitive salary of up to £55,000
