Architectural Design Manager

The RoleWe are seeking an Architectural Design Manager to oversee the design process for a range of commercial projects, including new-build developments, refurbishments, and commercial-to-residential conversions. From concept to completion, you will ensure designs align with project briefs, regulatory standards, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architectural design process for commercial projects, ensuring quality and compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare and issue design review drawings, keeping revisions in line with the project brief.
  • Conduct detailed feasibility studies and support planning applications with strong presentation materials.
  • Ensure all design work meets building regulations, fire codes, and health & safety standards.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in commercial architecture.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in commercial property fit-outs, refurbishments, or development.
  • Strong design and technical expertise, with proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction processes.
  • Experience supporting planning applications and producing design and access statements.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to design challenges.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex design concepts to stakeholders.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
