Pre school Room Leader/Manager
We are seeking a Preschool Room Leader for our 3-4 year room at our outstanding, day nursery and preschool. The Preschool Room Leader will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the nursery room, ensuring the well-being and development of the children in our care and helping them become 'school ready'.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, possess strong leadership skills, and have a passion for early childhood education.
Opportunity to look at Pre school Room Lead role as well as stepping into more managerial position as Third in Charge for the right candidate.
Duties of the Room Leader include:
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children in the nursery room
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and lesson plans
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, mealtime, and naptime
- Provide guidance and support to nursery room staff
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive and positive learning environment
The ideal candidate
- Previous experience working in childcare or early childhood education
- Experience of leading a room or as a Deputy room lead or senior practitioner.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- A childcare / early years qualification at Level 3 or above.
- Ability to drive positive behaviour and create a supportive learning environment
- A good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stages (EYFS)
