Responsibilities as a Senior Care Assistant:

Home Management Support:

  • Assist the Home Manager, Deputy Manager, and Assistant Manager in the efficient and caring management of the home.
  • Conduct walking handovers, ensuring accountabilityfor all residents at the start and end of shifts.
  • Promote staff contribution to the efficient running of the home, fostering the right atmosphere and leading by example.

Training and Development:

  • Support the training and development of all staff.
  • Ensure implementation and monitoring of the in-house training program to a high standard.
  • Contribute to residents' personal care needs, maintainingand promoting independence.

Communication and Interaction:

  • Lead, motivate, and mentor staff while being a team player.
  • Communicate and interact effectively with both residents and staff.

Essential Attributes:

  • Minimum of NVQ Level 2, working towards NVQ Level 3 or above.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor staff.
  • Effective communication and interaction skills.
