My client area well-established solicitors' firm located near High Wycombe, known for providing top-quality legal services to adiverse client base. With a commitment to excellence, we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Compliance Manager to join our team and ensure that we maintain the highest standards in compliance, regulation, and legal practice.

Role Overview:
As Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of regulatory compliance within the firm. This includes ensuring adherence to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Handbook, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, and Lexcel practice management standards. You will play a key role in ensuring the firm continues to meet its legal and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee compliance with the SRA Handbook and ensure all firm policies align with its requirements.
  • Implement and monitor AML procedures in accordance with current regulations.
  • Manage and maintain the firm's Lexcel accreditation and ensure continuous compliance with its standards.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to identify areas for improvement and mitigate risks.
  • Provide compliance training and guidance to staff as needed.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory changes and advise the firm on the necessary updates to policies and procedures.
  • Manage the firm's risk register and ensure appropriate responses to identified risks.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Compliance Manager, preferably within a legal environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of the SRA Handbook, AML regulations, and Lexcel requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory information.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects efficiently.
