Job Description:

We are seeking a Packing Room Operative to join our esteemed team in Beaminster. This role is suitable for individuals with prior packing experience, preferably within the food industry, and who demonstrate a high level of reliability.

Important: A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) license is essential, as 15% of the job will involve using the forklift to load vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high levels of personal and food safety standards.
  • Pack final products according to customer specifications.
  • Control stock inventory.
  • Batch ingredients for production.
  • Operate and monitor spray dry powder operations.
  • Use forklift (15% of the time) to load vehicles and manage other material handling tasks.
  • Promptly report plant issues to the engineering department.
  • Perform small maintenance tasks.
  • Contribute to team problem-solving activities.

Requirements:

  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck license (essential).
  • Proficiency in IT, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work well within a team while also being able to work independently.
  • Consistently deliver high-quality work.
  • Experience in a process/packing environment is desirable.
  • Basic food hygiene and health and safety qualifications.
