Are you passionate about machinery, problem-solving, and keeping operations running smoothly? We’re looking for a Service Coordinator to join our dynamic team at a thriving Midlands depot.
In this pivotal role, you won’t just be managing jobs — you'll be the engine behind the entire workshop operation, ensuring that repairs and servicing are delivered efficiently and to the highest standard. No two days are the same, and your decisions will directly impact customer satisfaction and team success.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for breakdown calls, resolving issues remotely where possible
- Coordinate field fitters for on-site repairs, aiming for a first-time fix
- Log, allocate, and track repair jobs while maintaining accurate records
- Ensure fitters have the correct parts and information to complete jobs efficiently
- Book and manage service and inspection appointments to optimize schedules
- Work closely with the Hire Desk to manage plant availability and replacements
- Liaise with approved third-party repair companies, including raising POs and approving invoices
- Identify chargeable damage repairs, order parts, and process customer invoices
- Maintain accurate records of service schedules, stock, and breakdowns
What We’re Looking For
- Strong mechanical repair knowledge
- Experience in a service or maintenance coordination role is a bonus
- Logical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
- Highly organised and proactive, with a focus on quality
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of the role
- Clear and confident communication skills for both internal teams and customers
- Competent with Microsoft Office and digital systems
