Plant Maintenance Administrator – Energy & District Heating Projects

Up to £25,000 (DOE)

Carlisle, Cumbria

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Plant Maintenance Technician to join a dynamic and growing commercial Energy company. As a Plant Maintenance Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our energy and district heating projects. You will be responsible for providing administrative support to the maintenance team, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring that all documentation and records are accurate and up to date.

As the Plant Maintenance Administrator, you will be responsible for:

  • Efficient and effective scheduling of the field service teams
  • Specialist service delivery partners involving: PPM’s, Reactive/Breakdown response, Corrective and follow on work orders, internal support
  • Coordinating and booking engineer visits using a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Ensuring workload is appropriately spread across the team and data is recorded correctly
  • Working with the Operations department, both office-based staff and service engineers to ensure the works are being delivered effectively
  • Assist with arranging external contractors
  • Approving Engineers planned leave (annual leave)
  • Assisting with the preparation of yearly and monthly work schedules with the Operations team
  • Investigate and reconcile maintenance requirements and take action to resolve outstanding issues and future issues
  • Produce reports on service status, operational performance, forecasts and progress reports
  • Any other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have/be:

  • Experience working in a complex work scheduling environment – ideally within a field service setting
  • IT Literate, proficient with Microsoft Office packages (Excel in particular)
  • Comfortable working with Planning Applications
  • A strong desire to provide excellent service, internally and externally
  • Able to use and learn, multiple systems simultaneously
  • Good verbal and written communication in English is essential
