Job Title:Manual Miller/Turner
Location: Beccles

We are working alongside an international machinery manufacturer based near Lowestoft. They have a new vacancy for a Manual Machinist tomanufacture components from drawing working to specifics tolerances and within agreed time-frames, ensuring all parts are available for the assembly process as required.

The role is day shift Mon-Fri with overtime paid at time and a half after 37 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a time served apprenticeship or equivalent within a relevant industry

Key responsibility / activities :

Select appropriate machine and tooling to manufacture components as specified on drawings
Select appropriate materials for each job as description in the drawing
Run machine to produce required components
Check and verify accuracy of components once manufactured
Daily and accurate completion of records including time-sheets and inspection status documentations
Report any manufacturing errors to team leader so corrective action can be agreed
Adhere to all quality, H&S standards
Work with other departments to set priorities regarding components manufacturing or sub assembly build to ensure all items are produced within required time-frames
Build sub-assembles to the required specification
Check and verify accuracy of assemblies on completion
