Cooper Lomaz is recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation for an experienced HR Advisor to join their close-knit team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in delivering transformational HR initiatives while providing essential support and guidance across the business.

Role Overview:As an HR Advisor, you will collaborate with managers and the Senior Leadership Team to deliver an efficient HR service. You will handle a variety of HR activities, from employee relations to recruitment, and contribute to strategic projects that enhance engagement and organisational effectiveness.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line HR support, advice, and coaching on all people-related matters
  • Update and review HR policies and procedures, advising managers on implementation
  • Educate teams on company values and embed them at all levels
  • Manage employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, and absence management
  • Support performance management initiatives, including probation reviews and improvement plans
  • Promote mental health and wellbeing strategies, including occupational health referrals
  • Oversee recruitment and selection processes, including apprenticeship campaigns
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to update payroll and manage benefits administration
  • Lead onboarding processes, including HR inductions in collaboration with Health & Safety
  • Contribute to HR systems improvement and provide analytics reports as needed

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in HR advisory roles
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices
  • Ability to manage a varied and demanding workload
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
  • Proficiency in HR systems and analytics

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in change management and system implementation
  • Knowledge of mental health and wellbeing strategies
  • Familiarity with payroll and benefits administration

Experience:
