We are seeking a Technical Support Specialist to provide essential support to our Shift Supervisor, ensuring that all planned and unplanned work is carried out effectively and to the highest standards. This role is crucial in maintaining our company’s reputation for excellence and requires a professional who can ensure efficiency and adherence to safety and customer standards at all times.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Carry out tool changing, colour changing, setting, and fault finding on machinery.
  • Perform machine and tool servicing to maintain optimal performance.
  • Provide support to non-technical personnel to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Complete all tasks in accordance with relevant work instructions, ensuring efficiency and professionalism.
  • Maintain a safe, tidy, and clean work environment during and at the end of each shift.
  • Adhere to the department’s safety instructions and health and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure all quality, production, and machine set up paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
  • Comply with current legislation and company procedures, especially in regards to Health and Safety, Quality, and Environment Management.
  • Assist with additional tasks as requested by technical and non-technical staff to aid the efficient running of the department.
  • Be adaptable to perform varied duties as the job evolves over time.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a technical support role within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform fault finding on machinery.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Competence in completing paperwork accurately and managing documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Flexibility to take on additional tasks and adapt to changing job requirements.
