Moulding Technician

Technique Recruitment Solutions are working with our client based in Beccles who are looking for Technicians to work across their moulding plant

Working 40 hrs on 3 rotating shifts (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am)

Starting Salary £29,725 increasing to £34,409 after completion of training (approx 6-9 months dependant on the individual)

Job Purpose:
To provide technical support to the Shift Supervisor to ensure planned / unplanned work is carried out effectively, efficiently and to the Company and Customer standards at all times.

Responsibilities:
Tool changing, colour changing and insert changing tools.
Servicing and preparing Tooling for production.
Servicing, rebuilding hot runners, and checking tolerances.
Fault finding on machinery and various multi-cavity tooling
Carry out quality checks as and when required.
Basic servicing and cleaning of all machinery.
Carry out post production tasks as and when required
Ensure that the department is safe, tidy and clean during and at the end of each shift.
Carry out administration and reporting as necessary.
Comply with quality standards as set by the Company.
Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with current legislation and company procedures, particularly but not exclusively in regards to Health and Safety, Quality and Environment

The successful candidate will have the following experience

Technical qualification ideally minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent with proven work experience in a mechanical or automotive discipline
Production experience, setting various machines and tooling.
Clear and proven competence of working in an engineering environment
The ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and at all levels within the Company and with
customers
Confident in challenging existing practices and looking for continuous improvement in all areas of work
Is able to work as part of a team to achieve team objectives
Able to respond positively to changing work demands
Takes decisive action to address and react to opportunities and problems in day to day work
Is conscientious and thorough in all aspects of work responsibilities, and has a professional approach to work
Has a logical and methodical approach to problem solving/fault finding issues
Ability to listen, and take up new skills
Desire to give a good service, recognising the importance of customer satisfaction on their own work
Able to follow instruction, to ensure work is completed as required
Ability to undertake duties in every respect as laid out in the job description (further to training if required).
