RT7 - Warehouse ManagerLocation: BeckenhamSalary: £35,000 - £45,000 Per AnnumOverview:First Military Recruitment are currently looking for a Warehouse Manager on behalf of one of our industrious clients.This is a fast paced role that will require a firm and collected approach to your work. You will be entirely responsible for a team working under your direction. The role requires a person who has experience working in stressful environments, and who can meet strict deadlines whilst remaining calm and collected and confidently delegating workloads amongst their team.Our client strongly encourages applications from ex-military personnel, especially with prior experience running a store or QM's department, however all applications will be considered.Duties & Responsibilities

  • Line management of the warehouse team
  • Assist with departmental recruitment needs
  • Providing overall management and ensuring deliverables are achieved by the team
  • Overseeing and implementing procedures to reduce errors and loss/damage to stock
  • Ensuring that stock leaving the warehouse returns in the condition of which it left including all accessories
  • Liaising with crew, suppliers and manufacturers as and when required
  • Making sure that warehouse is clean, tidy and organised at all times
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained and tested
  • Maintain and update inventory systems
  • Directly manage and delegate management of all incoming jobs/requests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provide accurate timesheets for submitting overtime to payroll
  • Authorising annual leave requests and ensuring that there is cover at all times
  • Working closely alongside the existing team and interacting with the wider departments such as operations, project managers and venue partnership, on a daily basis
  • Oversight of kit, preparing for events in a timely distribution
  • Maintenance of company assets
  • Ensure Health & Safety policies is enforced
  • Due to the nature of the business, this role can lead to a pressurised environment, so the successful candidate should be a person who can remain calm and level headed at all times
  • At times this can be an extremely demanding position

  • Ability to cope under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Capable of working on own initiative
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Personable and able to build good working relationships with colleagues at all levels
  • Ability to interact effectively with regulatory authorities or statutory bodies
  • A self-starter, with the drive to achieve goals and a willingness to be accountable
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop and implement innovative solutions for resolving compliance issues which meet relevant requirements
  • The ability to motivate your team is essential in addition to a confident management style
