Daily Rate: £95 - £135 a day

Thriving SEMH School located in the London Borough of Bromley is recruiting a dedicated and passionate Monday to Friday Unqualified English Teacher / English HLTA. This contract role is to start immediately.

The successful Unqualified English HLTA  / English Teacher will have experience in teaching Key Stage 3 (KS3) to GCSE level English and possess skills in managing small groups, with a strong understanding of SEMH, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and challenging behaviour. You will have excellent experience planning, delivering and marking English lessons.

You will have outstanding classroom management & can successfully de-escalate challenging behaviours in a non-judgemental way.

  • Experience teaching in either a HLTA or Unqualified Teacher (behaviour difficulties)
  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students in KS3 to GCSE.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with SEMH and ASD.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, using positive behaviour support strategies.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and reports to students, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other support staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to support students' educational and emotional needs.
  • In date DBS on the update service OR able to pay for a new one ASAP.
  • You reside in commutable distance to the London Borough of Bromley.
