AV Event Technician

Location - most event are in and around Central London - Head Office Bromley

Salary - £29,000 - £32,000 per annum, plus overtime paid at time and a half

Full time permanent role

Our client who is a well known and reputable event production company in London, are seeking an AV Event Technician to join their team due to internal growth opportunities. As the AV Technician, you will work with the wider team in the preparation, delivery, installation, operation and rigging of audio visual equipment across a variety of events, having responsibility for oversight of any freelance support as required and maintaining the highest standards at all time.

Duties:

  • Set up and test sound, lighting and video equipment, and program control systems.
  • Carry out pre-event safety checks, troubleshoot and resolve problems with existing systems.
  • Operate equipment during events.
  • Pack up equipment at a venue ready for storage or transportation.
  • Inspect, clean, and maintain AV equipment to ensure it is in optimal condition.
  • Work closely with other technical crew members, freelance staff and event organizers.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols during equipment setup and operation

Experience:

  • Demonstrable working knowledge and experience in the operation of audio mixers, lighting control desks and AV equipment to include but not limited to: Allen & Heath, d&b, Avolites, Chauvet, ROBE, & Panasonic projectors.
  • Good literacy, numeracy and technical skills.
  • An understanding or awareness of relevant Health & Safety requirements is desirable.
  • An understanding of the installation of firmware updates on equipment.
  • Knowledge & understanding of at least two areas of Sound, Lighting and Data Projection.
  • You will be naturally resourceful demonstrating the ability to identify issues and proactively resolve problems.
